:: A Rank Report is a sorted list of symbols, which
meet the criteria of a strategy. The Industry Reports
are examples. The strongest (or weakest- depending on sort
type) candidates appear on top. Most other analytic platforms
(websites etc.) display a static list when you request it.
You must request it again to get an updated report. In this
system, however, the Rank Report constantly resorts the list
in real time, based on tick-by-tick updates .Therefore, you
will see symbols moving up or down the list as they get stronger
or weaker. Whereas a ticker displays new transactions, usually
as a stock makes new daily highs), The Rank report constantly
redisplays the stock as it is ranked against other stocks.
In many cases there is both a Rank Report and a Ticker
with the same name.
The Rank report shows all the stocks, which qualified for
the strategy for the whole day, and ranks them by how much
they have moved from the first alert level. The Ticker shows
any of those stocks as they print higher highs, as well as
any new stocks which are currently being alerted for the first
time.
